New space that reads as original.
Matched in roof pitch, eave line and material, so the addition does not announce itself from the road.

Additions and renovations from 500 to 3,000 square feet, custom millwork, exterior facelifts and historical restoration.
Renovation is where a builder is actually tested — and it has been a large part of what we do for sixty years.
Working in an occupied house means opening walls without knowing exactly what is behind them, matching lines and materials that are no longer manufactured, and keeping a family living in the middle of it. We plan for that: dust control, sequencing that keeps a kitchen or a bathroom in service, and a schedule you can arrange your life around.
Projects typically run 500 to 3,000 square feet. As with a new build, the design drawings for a major renovation are done in-house and included.
Matched in roof pitch, eave line and material, so the addition does not announce itself from the road.

Cladding, roofline, glazing and entry handled together — plus garages and fireplaces.
Kitchens and bathrooms built as custom millwork rather than assembled from a catalogue of box sizes.
Red oak, maple, cherry and pine, finished against granite or marble. Because the cabinetry is drawn with the room rather than fitted into it afterwards, you get the awkward corner used properly, the appliance panel that actually lines up, and no filler strips pretending to be joinery.
The same crew that frames the house does the finish carpentry in it.

When the 132-year-old Long Point Lighthouse needed restoring, the work came to us. Heritage restoration asks a different question than new construction does — not “how would you build this today” but “how was this built, and how do we keep it that way for another century.”
It is the kind of job you only get offered once, and only if the people handing it out already know your work.
Sixty years of referrals were not built by taking every job that came through the door.
If a project is better suited to someone else — wrong size, wrong distance, wrong trade — we will tell you, and usually tell you who to call instead. It costs us one job and keeps the reputation that brings the next ten.

Most of our work begins with a phone call and a walk of the property. The design drawings for a new build or a major renovation are free — you will know what you are getting, and what it costs, before you commit to anything.
